Do you feel tied to your house?
As summer draws to a close I've been talking with many people who have undone summer plans. When I ask why they admit that they feel tied to their house. They say something like "I would go away for the weekend, but I promised to clear out the garage." Or, "I'd love to go to the BBQ, but I need to get my to do list done." Or, "I'd planned on a day trip, but I also need to uncover my desk from all the papers." Does this sound familiar? If so for this week's challenge I'd like to invite you to spend 18 minutes organizing one area and then as a reward for a job started (not necessarily completed) take some time off and enjoy a little free time. WITHOUT allowing any feelings of guilt to creep in. Remember there will always be more to do. But you have just a limited amount of time. It's all about the balance. So work a little and enjoy a little, I think you might amaze yourself about how much you can get accomplished when you know something fun is waiting. Plus the time off will give you more energy when you go back to organizing. So this week take 18 minutes to organize, if youve never tried it youll be surprised what you can accomplish when you focus for a short stretch of time. Then follow that with time off enjoying life. What will you do? Take a walk, have tea with a friend, take your child to the playground? There are so many options just pick one and do it! I cant wait to hear how you spend your time working and more importantly your time off. Happy organizing, Jamie
